Wedding Countdown

We’re busy taking care of the final wedding details!

The plaid and checkered fabric for our tables is ready.

The Jewish and Catholic candles have arrived.

The picture of Rachel’s grandparents has a shiny new frame.

The fabric for the huppah is cut and sewn together.

We made chalkboards for the buffet, bar, and pie menus.

Signs for the table names are ready.

Candleholders and signs for pie!

The paper streamers are all assembled.

And the programs are ready for assembly.

This wedding is happening! May 15th!

Wedding Crafts

On Saturday night, several wonderful women came over and helped prepare for the wedding. We drank margaritas, ate snacks (including margarita inspired rice crispie treats!), and cut ribbon and paper! In the end, I feel pretty happy that our utensils are bundled and buffet ready, the programs have names on them, and paper streamers are almost done!

Wedding Weekend

We got so much done this weekend! Including

• Finalizing the liquor order with Binny’s
• Buying plates and servers for pie and cups for liquor
• Finding a few toys and fun items for our unofficial ring bearer
• Buying chalkboard paint to make chalkboards for menus
• Getting Rachel’s dress hemmed!

There’s still quite a few things to do, but the final RSVPs are rolling in, and this baby is happening!

Papel Picado

Papel picado is the name for these awesome festive Mexican party streamers. I especially love the ones found above. After a trip to Little Village/Pilsen over the weekend, we didn’t find exactly what we were looking for, so I’ve decided to make custom papel picado for us! Why not?
