At last the day arrived. Rachel and I have been looking forward to this for months.
The pie tasting.
We had the pleasure of tasting 6 different pies at Hoosier Mama today, assisted by the lovely Paula herself. It was heaven.
Up first was Sour Cream Dutch Apple. If apple pie and cheese cake had a baby…. RB ate most of it.
Next, strawberry rhubarb. Fresh and delicious.
Third, maple pecan! Which RB had never tasted…
Fourth, lemon chess pie! A very mellow, pleasant lemon flavor.
Fifth, lemon meringue. Shivers of tartness ran down my spine with every bite.
Finally, chocolate chess pie. If french silk and a brownie had a baby…
When we gave Paula our list, there were 13 pies total, with 9 flavors represented.
